Against my better judgment, I decided to enter this world of blog. So blog on these thoughts for a blog, and blog me if you think I’m blog. Saturday was my first tournament (as the blog title of the blog states), and, other than being entirely exhausted, I had a great time. After not competing in any meaningful way since early 1996, it was nice to get the adrenaline up to that level again. That said, I want to blog a few things that struck me.

The atmosphere at the event was outstanding. While competitive, no doubt, each competitor I spoke to offered word of encouragement and treated me with respect both on and off the strip. After spending the last ten years playing IM basketball and IM flag football, this was a nice treat. Second, those from BFC who attended the event were extremely helpful in helping me focus on the fencing and stay relaxed. So blogs to them for their bloggyness.

Having blogged all that blog, I look forward to future events, but hopefully no more blogs.
